NOW HIRING FOR AN OVERNIGHT SHELTER ASSOCIATE
12:00AM-8:00AM
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Overnight Shelter Associate is responsible for accurately maintaining a shift report log and documenting any events during the shift.
- Responding to Shelter residence and forwarding them to appropriate person or department
- The over night Shelter Associate will help guide people to processing stations
- Assisting emergency teams making sure families are orderly and are reporting to correct areas
- Help residents with appointment keeping
Qualifications:
- Bilingual Haitian or Spanish capacity is a strong plus.
- Must be self-motivated, well-organized, punctual, and skilled at time-management.
- Ability to communicate effectively and creatively with adults and children of varying ages.
- Experience with emergency shelter programs for homeless and individuals including individuals who are experiencing homelessness, or mental illness,
- High-level of comfort working within a diverse and multicultural population.
- Ability to follow direction and guidance and work as a member of a team.
