Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for providing engineering support to the operations group for design, implementation, assessment and troubleshooting of manufacturing procedures and equipment. This role manages projects related to new products, new equipment, and plant upgrades as well as tooling designs.
The Manufacturing Engineer maintains knowledge of best practices in manufacturing methods, trends and developments in technology and equipment; applying this knowledge to maintain the organization's competitive edge.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze manufacturing and quality control processes and make recommendations for improvements.
Calculate labor, material and other production costs.
Coordinate equipment maintenance as needed.
Travel to plants to assist with troubleshooting and installation of equipment.
Develop project schedules for internal tracking purposes.
Coordinate with multiple groups to produce monthly key metrics scorecard for assigned plants.
Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues.
Prepare and submit required documentation and reports.
Perform other related job duties as needed to ensure timely and accurate supply chain management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree Manufacturing Engineering or Related Engineering Discipline.
Minimum Five (5) Years' Experience Required.
Experience in Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement Processes.
Possess excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent creative problem-solving skills.
Ability to come up with new ideas for developing or improving devices to ensure highest quality and lowest cost.
Strong communication skills with the ability to listen effectively, articulate goals and progress of project(s), and communicate with a team of sales, research, and/or management personnel.
