Responsibilities: include but are not limited to the following:
- Project Design and Planning: Develop and review detailed designs and plans for infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, water systems, and buildings. Ensure that designs meet client specifications, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
- Site Assessment and Analysis: Conduct site investigations to gather data on soil conditions, topography, and environmental impact. Use this information to inform project design and feasibility.
- Project Management: Oversee construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and safety standards. Implement and monitor safety protocols on-site to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimation and financial reporting. Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures as necessary.
- Technical Analysis and Problem Solving: Use engineering principles and software tools to analyze technical problems and develop effective solutions. Provide expert advice on complex engineering issues.
- Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with clients, architects, urban planners, and other engineers to ensure project goals are met. Prepare and present reports, proposals, and technical documents.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections and quality control checks to ensure that construction work meets specified standards and project requirements. Address any issues or deficiencies promptly.
- Innovation and Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices. Implement innovative solutions to improve project efficiency and performance.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of project progress, changes, and engineering decisions. Prepare detailed reports and documentation for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications:
• B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET Accredited Institution.
• Experience in Land Development and site design is desired.
• Proficient familiarity with Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication and design skills.
