Hourly: $20-$23 hourly commensurate with qualifications and experience
Position Summary
The Manufacturers Golf and Country Club Event Cook is responsible for the successful execution of events throughout the club. Event Cooks will work directly with the Executive Chef and Event Sous Chef in creating excellent menu selections and food experience for Members and guests. As a member of the culinary team, Event Cooks will help provide an unforgettable event experience for both Members and their guests.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Assist with the preparation of dishes for events and banquets.
- Organize the food and equipment needed for the events.
- Ensure all quality, consistency and presentation goals are met or exceeded.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment both in the kitchen and at events.
- Follow the event prep list created by the Executive Chef or Event Chef for tasks and
- Ensure all food items and other items are stored, handled, and rotated correctly.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in line with all safe food.
- handling practices.
- Exhibit strong teamwork and a positive professional attitude.
- Collaborate with front of house team on setup of food buffets and unique stations onsite at events.
- Communicate effectively with other departments.
- Ensure compliance of safety standards and company policies and procedures.
- Maintain and exemplify high level service standards and requirements for events.
- Be respectful and maintain a professional relationship with coworkers.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- A culinary degree is preferred but not required.
- ServSafe Certification Preferred and Available.
- Has knowledge of standard cooking, baking, and grilling techniques.
- Must have the ability to multi-task while remaining focused.
- Works cooperatively and efficiently in a team environment.
- Must have excellent verbal communication skills.
- Able to express creativity through food preparation and presentation.
- Must be detail oriented.
- A passion for continued professional growth in the field of culinary arts.
