Job Summary:
The Director of Marketing is responsible for marketing, public relations and communications and will oversee, coordinate, and participate in the development of marketing strategies and products for Many Hands.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversees the daily workflow in the marketing department
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communication strategies to further Many Hands' vision and mission
- Conduct market research to understand target market audience and their needs
- Develop clear and consistent brand messaging that resonates with our mission
- Create and oversee the execution of marketing campaigns across various channels, including traditional media, digitial marketing, and public relations
- Produce compelling stories for the development team and our donors to connect to the mission
- Manage and write special publications including annual campaigns and annual report
- Oversee the management of all social media channels across the organization's three diverse branches
- Manage and monitor website to ensure consistent engagement
- Develop and implement email marketing strategy
- Review and approve internal and third-party material to ensure brand standards are met
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders
- Identify and build strategic relationships with media outlets for postive coverage of Many Hands
- Foster partnerships with other organizations to expand our reach and impact
- Direct and implement the organization's advertising and promotional activities
- Lead and mentor marketing team
- Provide strategic direction and oversight of the marketing team
- Recruit, hire, and train marketing staff
- Foster a collaborative and creative work environment
- Collaborate with senior executives to develop growth plans for the organization
- Perform other duties as assigned
Reports to Chief Executive Officer
Requirements:Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong understanding of digital marketing practices
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Thorough understanding of marketing strategies and practices
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent supervisory and leadership skills
- Proficient with Google Workspace or related software
- Proficient in mulitimedia software and tools
- Ability to cope with stress and showcase the Fruits of the Spirit, in particular patience, flexibility, and adaptability
- Comfortable working with government, church, and community leaders
- Ability to positively represent the ministry of Many Hands, including its mission, vision, and core values to all outside constituencies
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field required
- At least 5 years of experience in marketing and long-range planning required
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
- Must be able to travel to various locations to perform interviews, photography, and videography
