Knowledge Manager
Hybrid (Mark Center/Pentagon) - Onsite during the initial new hire period, then will be hybrid (1-2 days remote per week)

Marathon TS is seeking a Knowledge Manager who will play a key role in shaping the future for a new Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (DASD)-level organization within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)) located in Alexandria, VA.
As the Knowledge Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the future for a new Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (DASD)-level organization within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)). You will lead the knowledge management efforts to ensure the organization's wealth of information is harnessed, organized, and leveraged effectively. The mission of the organization is to accelerate the development and integration of advanced technologies to rapidly deliver new warfighting capabilities. As the Knowledge Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing knowledge management strategies that enhance productivity, decision-making, and innovation across the organization. The ideal candidate is a proactive and ambitious practitioner who is passionate about knowledge sharing, collaboration, and training.
Work location is hybrid at the Mark Center in Alexandria, Virginia with opportunities for situational telework.
Primary Responsibilities Will Include But Are Not Limited To
- Knowledge Strategy: Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive knowledge management strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Knowledge Capture: Identify, collect, and organize valuable knowledge assets, both tacit and explicit, from various sources within the organization.
- Knowledge Sharing: Create and manage systems and platforms for sharing knowledge, ensuring easy access to information for employees at all levels.
- Training and Development: Design and oversee training programs to promote a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
- Content Management: Implement content management systems and maintain knowledge repositories, ensuring content quality, relevance, and accuracy.
- Collaboration: Foster collaboration and information exchange among teams and individuals, breaking down silos and facilitating cross-functional knowledge sharing.
- Metrics and Analytics: Develop and track key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of knowledge management efforts and make data-driven improvements.
- Technology Integration: Identify and leverage technology solutions to support knowledge management, including document management systems, intranets, and collaboration tools.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality regulations in knowledge management practices.
- Knowledge Dissemination: Regularly communicate the value and impact of knowledge management initiatives to senior management and other stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of professional work experience.
- Proven knowledge management experience with a track record of successful customer-centric knowledge management initiatives.
- Strong understanding of knowledge management principles, tools, and best practices with a customer-focused mindset.
- Proficiency in providing customer support using Microsoft applications and services such as SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to enhance customer experiences.
- Self-starter, able to take initiative and accomplish work independently with minimal guidance.
- A proactive, solution-oriented, and customer-centric approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team setting and influence and engage stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights from data and drive continuous improvement.
- Expertise with SharePoint Site Collection Administration managing document libraries, lists, permissions, and workflows.
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency with Intelink services including IntelShare and IntelDocs.
- Experience supporting OSD, Joint Staff, Service Staff, or other Pentagon staff customers.
- Experience interacting with the Joint Service Provider (JSP).
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or certification in a related field
Clearance Requirements
- Active TOP SECRET clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI).
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
