Marathon TS is seeking a .NET Developer to support a government client at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. The ideal candidate will be a clearable US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust. This role will primarily perform duties onsite with occasional telework. Job Duties:
Maintain software where applicable in an operational status. The contractor shall provide support to add additional functionality and/or work process to the software support system. All upgrades/modifications shall maintain compatibility with past/current systems.
Maintain select Enterprise systems per DoD and Army regulations to ensure Information Assurance (IA) compliance, high availability, and optimal performance.
Develop new software projects and/or modules on a variety of on premises and cloud-based platforms to include, but not be limited to, Microsoft .NET, Microsoft SharePoint Online including SPFx framework), Microsoft Power Platform, and Microsoft Teams. Development will adhere to the Government's DevSecOps software development lifecycle process and procedures. These projects, upgrades, and modules will be developed in the software required and objectives will be identified in specific tasks. The contractor will advise and support the transition of existing development and sustainment projects using legacy development methodologies (eg: waterfall) to conform with DevSecOps.
Provide development and configuration control of functional, technical, and testing documentation for all new and existing projects under their purview.
Custom code shall be configuration controlled and developed within Department of Defense mandated cybersecurity parameters. Maintain and augment existing waterfall-based projects as needed and support their transition to DevSecOps compliance.
Position Responsibilities:
Creation and submission of monthly Contractor's Progress, Status and Management Report of contract activities.
Redevelopment of 3 SharePoint applications to .NET (all projects currently in-progress with a suspense of 30 Aug 2024 for completion)
Assist with remediation of existing .NET code to ensure IA compliance moving into the cArmy Azure Cloud. The amount of work is unknown until we run scans, but the G6 office is responsible for 27 apps.
Position Qualifications: : Bachelors Degree with 5 yrs of experience or an Associates Degree with 7 yrs experience :
.NET development resources with the requisite skillsets to work within the competency areas identified in the Scope of Work.
Experience with Software Development Life Cycle Process (SDLC) (desired)
Experience documenting software defects using a bug tracking system and reporting defects to software developers and project managers (desired)
