Job Description:
Responsible for defining the engineering approach within an end-to-end technology stack. Aligns to a technical domain but acts as contributor to multiple cross-functional teams. This role will be engaged in development and production environments to identify and improve performance/capacity issues within and across technology stacks on an end-to-end basis. Key responsibilities include creating and ensuring system design technology solutions comply with enterprise system design and engineering standards. They provide and contribute to improvements in solution design, testing, and delivery practices.

Accountable for the day-to-day administration and support for Topaz Synthetic user transactions scripted through VuGen and for Client Business Availability Center (Client)/Business Process Monitoring (BPM). Align IT Service Operations objectives with key organizational goals to enable improved operational efficiencies, risk reduction, stability and employee satisfaction. Ideal candidate must be collaborative, timeline oriented, delivery capable and a strong influencer of outcomes across domains, platforms and frameworks.

Position Summary:
Responsible for management and maintenance of User Synthetic Monitoring Solutions using Microfocus Client/BPM
Serve as the primary POC for application owners with respect to the monitoring of their applications utilizing synthetic transaction data
Create, edit, maintain all related scripts utilizing ANSI C
Facilitate the deployment and integration of existing monitoring tools across the Enterprise
Host demos, overviews and training of the monitoring tools for adoption across teams, preparing related materials to support sessions and adoption of tools (presentations, operational manuals etc.).
Liaise with regional technical leads in the planning and scheduling of deployments.
Consult with the local teams and assist in configuration of monitoring events/dashboards to maximize the potential and use of monitoring tool.
Preparation of regional reporting of monitoring tools adoption and other related data points and other relevant metrics.
Participate in global discussions on the continuation and evolution on global monitoring strategy.
Drive application event-based automation

Required Skills:
2 years Development or Architecture experience for multi-tiered business applications
6 years production systems Architecting and/or support role.
Individual will need to be proficient in the support of Managed including the deployment, instrumentation and leveraging the tool as an Application Performance Monitoring capability
Proven experience with supporting monitoring tools such as – Splunk, Sitescope, MicroFocus BPM, SCOM
Proven experience with supporting monitoring on Cloud and Containers infrastructure.
Knowledge of OS (Windows/Unix) based infrastructure services, processing, monitoring, shell scripts, etc.
Proven experience in programming language ANSI C.
Proven experience in application/network performance and availability monitoring.
Proven experience in N-Tier Architecture supporting a multitude of products (Webserver, Middleware, Database, etc.)
Knowledge of ITIL functions and processes.
An excellent communicator, able to network and influence across multiple levels is required of this role.
A self-motivated, hands-on, driven individual with strong leadership skills.
A strategic thinker who can link business context to technical reality.

Desired Skills:
Experience of migrating BPM to Splunk
Master's College degree preferred or Equivalent experience
Previous experience in Military Health System
Past experience in Major Incident Management.
