Description
The Greenhouse Sales Clerk is an integral part of the Greenhouse Team! The Greenhouse Sales Clerk assists in maintaining a spectacular crop of annuals and perennials for our customers. The Greenhouse Sales Clerk should be willing and excited to learn all aspects of properly caring for, merchandising, and assisting customers in choosing plants for their landscape.
The Greenhouse Sales Clerk reports directly to the Greenhouse Manager.
The Greenhouse Sales Clerks responsibilities include performing tasks as directed by the Greenhouse Manager which will include but are not limited to:
- Providing superb customer service and helpful information and advice.
- Learning to identify plants.
- Ensuring plants and other items for sale in the greenhouse area are properly priced and signed.
- Learning to identify plant problems such as diseases, weeds, and insect pests and immediately notifying the Greenhouse Manager of such problems.
- Assisting in the planting, watering, pruning, and maintenance of greenhouse crops.
- Moving materials and loading/unloading shipments for placement in the greenhouses.
- Adhering to safety regulations and policies and notifying the Greenhouse Manager of unsafe environments and practices.
- Providing inventory counts for the inventory management process as requested.
- Performing other duties as necessary.
