What are the responsibilities and job description for the MMS Supervisor position at MARELLI?
The MNA Production Systems (MNA) Supervisor will manage, coordinate, facilitate, train, and monitor all aspects of continuous improvement and shop floor management utilizing the MMS format. Facilitates and promotes these activities and mindset at assigned plant(s) to ensure consistency of MMS methods, practices, and training, as well as, to promote globally. Critical responsibility of this position will be to implement the MMS vision and continuously raise the awareness and level of the MMS skills.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Supports and provides leadership management of the daily operations of the MMS activities at assigned plant(s). This position supports MMS by addressing issues related to Quality, TPT, Training, 5-S, internal and external PPM, Safety, Ergonomics, Data Collection, Documentation, First Articles, etc…
- Become a qualified MMS instructor with a primary function of implementing the MMS vision across assigned plant(s) while continuously raising the awareness and level of the MMS skills. Use the MMS skills / knowledge to train and coach new personnel in the MMS format. This includes both hourly and salaried team members.
- Benchmark, internally and externally, to implement best practices to lead assigned plant(s) to world class KPI levels.
- Ensures that the lines within the plant(s) maintain a laser like focus on the target areas. Position also ensures that each group maintains a pro-active focus on problem solving while avoiding the implementation of haphazard / inaccurate solutions.
- Manage team weekly report-out, analyze data and provide feedback to the teams, managers, and plant managers / executive staff as needed.
- Manages and updates the MNA Production Systems folders and website. These folders and website provide a shared location for teams and management to understand details and the status / progress of MMS.
- Create, maintain, and update the Production Systems manuals as needed for continuous improvement of the MMS format.
- Responsible for creating and presenting reports that reflect the status of MMS in QBRCs, Staff Meetings, etc… based upon management needs / request.
- Train, promote, and monitor the utilization of the video training program.
- Assist with V-Fast and MMS as needed in order to promote and drive improvement activities in North America.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS
This work is performed in a general manufacturing environment.
The incumbent must:
- Have a high school diploma or GED.
- Requires an Advanced Degree in related discipline and two (2) plus years experience in related field

- Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline and three (3) plus years experience in related field
-or-
- Associates Degree in related discipline and five (5) plus years experience in related field
-or-
- Non-Degreed with seven (7) plus years experience in a related field.
- Certifications required in some areas.
- Have experience working with integrated computer programs and/or applications.
- Have strong communication, administrative and organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects and programs.
- Be able to pass all background checks and pre-employment tests, including any required drug test.
- Be able to maintain the confidentiality of any information s/he encounters.

SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Intermediate to advanced experience (beyond basic data entry) working with computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other presentation applications and/or software.
