Job Summary:
The Human Resources Coordinator will assist with a broad spectrum of HR-related tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Benefits
- Manage newly eligible employee benefit meeting invites.
- Collect all Open Enrollment documents-including tracking and follow up on all missing documents.
- Answer all benefit related questions and/or refer employees to the proper vendor.
- Maintain Principal E-Benefits site and entering new enrollees and changes
- Code and submit invoices for benefit vendors.
Employment
- Complete all employment verification requests.
- Schedule applicant interviews with hiring managers and follow up on status of interviews for ATS.
- Conduct new hire orientation.
- Manage entire employee document process from creation of new hire files to retention of terminated.
- Enter all new hires into the system and eVerify. Follow up on any missing documents.
- Send Census report weekly to vendor.
- Terminate all employees in the system.
- Manage employee badge system.
Leave of Absences
- Administer all leave of absence programs.
- Track/report all leave of absences.
Payroll
- Backup for bi-weekly processing of payroll.
- Maintain hiring incentive letter process.
Other
- Order and track uniforms, to include coding and submission of vendor billing.
- Assist with event planning and food ordering for all employee events.
- Order food for any department requests.
- Assist with Employee of Month/Quarter/Year communications.
- Order flowers for births/funerals/hospital.
- Check HR box, safety suggestions boxes and EOM boxes 2x daily.
- Assign lockers, track and clean out for terms.
- Prepare reports and correspondence.
- Order all supplies for the department and supply closet, ensuring both are stocked appropriately.
- Create content for internal communication pieces.
- Review documents for accuracy.
- Assist with creating PowerPoint presentations.
- Provide administrative support to department.
- Assist with communication with plant and office personnel.
Additional Expectation: Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- At least 2 years of general experience in Human Resources
- At least 2 years of administrative experience
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Great time-management skills, ability to prioritize and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency, think proactively, and problem resolution
- Good communicator (both verbal and written)
- Flexible and dependable
- Comfortable in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- Must be able to type proficiently, including 10 key.
- Ability to read, write and speak English competently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Knowledge, Certifications, Skills, Abilities:
- PHR certification
- Working knowledge of various Leave of Absences
- Experience with ADP for payroll processing
