What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales and Service Analyst position at Marine Systems, Inc.?
Essential Duties
- Build customer quotes. Sets pricing within level of authority. Collaborates with service and sales group on quotes.
- Obtain orders for services from customers. Responsible for exchanges with client, negotiating terms, and management of quotes and job sales orders in Oracle.
- Serves as liaison with client and parts department regarding quote details.
- Ensure profitability of orders by setting pricing at appropriate level.
- Understands market trends and builds quotes accordingly.
- Seek approval from Manager for all quotes and negotiation terms above level of authority.
- Communicate with direct parts and pricing departments on need to establish / input new part number(s) not currently set-up in Oracle database. Ensures that new part number is set-up.
- Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure all parts, including backorders, are available when needed for mechanics use. This may include arranging for freight on parts as well.
- Expedite parts and tools requests from field mechanics as required.
- Oversee parts and cores are returned from field or shop jobs and are properly tagged and paperwork completed and placed in job folder.
- Take weekend/night calls for sales and service.
- Ensure company property is maintained at all times.
- Ensure safe operations within the scope of sales and service.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Develop relationships with coworkers to better understand the processes and culture that affect safety.
- Influence safety by evaluating safety performance, participating in safety meetings, targeting areas needing improvement and developing initiatives to impact the areas.
- Thoroughly knowledgeable of Safe Work Policy.
