Overview
We are seeking high functioning and energetic candidates for a full-time Relationship Manager in our Oak Brook, IL office. The Relationship Manager is responsible for maintaining and deepening relationships in referral partner programs while supporting the advisors to drive revenue and market growth.
Responsibilities
- Support Regional Managing Director and advisors in achieving revenue and profitability goals
- Communicate Mariner’s offering, value proposition, solutions and services to referral partner representatives
- Conduct regular calls and follow up on periodic presentations of Mariner’s services to referral partner representatives
- Ensure effective and complete communication with referral partners
- Develop and maintain a high-level understanding of Mariner’s advisory solutions, investment offerings and wealth management services
- Manage referral pipelines, coordinate business development events and prepare proposals/presentations
- Keep abreast of current industry trends and potential development opportunities
- Leverage key relationships within referral partner programs to generate leads and facilitate introduction
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or other related field from an accredited college or university
- 3+ years’ experience in the financial services industry
- Series 65 or CFP preferred (or currently studying for the CFP)
- Demonstrated knowledge and facilitation of sales cycle / process
- Effective written communication skills with ability to adapt to different audiences
- Effective oral communication skills with ability to address individuals and groups in formal and informal settings
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with referral partner representatives
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
