The Manager, On-Premise is responsible for managing all aspects of MABI brands in the On-Premise channel for the assigned market as well as oversee and implement distributor planning, programming, and account execution both national, regional, city buying groups & priority independent. Ultimately responsible for delivering the annual sales plan in the given market and acting as the conduit for all distributor functions relating to the Company business in the On-Premise. Additionally, a key collaborator & full-portfolio book selling contributor with MACS, focusing on White Claw Vodka opportunities in the top On-Premise accounts & city buying groups in market.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
- Execute all aspects of sales plan in the On-Premise channel with distributor network. Present brand plans, pricing and promotion, and programming according to parameters of business plan. Monitor and analyze assigned territory budgets.
- Responsible for on-going and consistent communication with distributors On-Premise sales team & leadership to include monitoring of product levels and increasing of actual shipments and depletions.
- Responsible for plan and management of WABP On-Premise plan.
- Owner of relationship & sales to priority City Buying Group Accounts, identified with MABI leadership & wholesaler alignment.
- Responsible for brand execution at the market level On-Premise channel. On-Premise Brand Standards to include: Priority SKU Distribution, Pricing, Backbar / Cooler Placement & Display, Visibility Tools & POS, Feature Programming, Event Inclusion.
- Monitor & track marketing programs use by wholesalers sales team for sell-in into On-Premise.
- Control operating and A&P expenses and manage budget and expenses appropriately.
- Depending on the size of the market, may have direct reports.
- Keep abreast of competitive trends and report appropriate developments.
- Collaborate with Distributor & Internal Marketing to coordinate event & sampling / consumer & industry education opportunities.
- On-Premise best practice sharing across assigned market, region & greater On-Premise team.
- Indirect Reporting & Liaison with National & Regional On-Premise Key Account teams for local visibility and program execution
- Identify channel specific trends and create actionable plans for broader region teams
Monthly Focus:
- 12 days (60% of time) managing in-account On-Premise channel execution, surveying (with and without the wholesaler), evaluating distribution, display and feature / programming execution. In addition, evaluate wholesaler On-Premise sales team selling skills.
- 4 days (20% of time) managing all wholesaler issues and meeting to include programming, pricing, forecasting, new product launches and ABP meetings, as well as all internal issues at wholesaler, kick-off meetings and POS management.
- 4 days (20% of time) managing all administrative requirements due on a monthly basis (forecasting, fiscal responsibility, distribution tracking, program execution tracking and performance management) as well as all local initiatives.
Qualifications, Education, & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 years of sales experience
- 3 years’ experience working with distributors/wholesalers, 3 years’ experience in beverage category
- 2 years’ experience working with on-premise accounts / distribution management in the beverage category
- Exceptional relationship development skills and demonstrates strong influencing skills.
- Self motivated, creative & entrepreneurial while having a team-first attitude

- Strong business acumen
