Job Summary: As an Accounts Payable Manager, the primary responsibility is to oversee and manage the entire accounts payable process within an organization. This includes ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and expenses. The role involves maintaining strong vendor relationships, reconciling accounts, and implementing efficient procedures to streamline the payment process. Additionally, the Accounts Payable Manager plays a crucial role in financial reporting and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Invoice Processing:
Receive and review invoices for accuracy and completeness.
Enter invoices into QuickBooks or [mention your accounting software] for payment processing.
Vendor Management:
Maintain a comprehensive vendor database.
Ensure accurate and up-to-date vendor information.
Schedule and process payments to vendors in a timely manner, with verbal confirmation required for any changes to payment details.
Resolve payment discrepancies and respond to vendor inquiries promptly.
Expense Management:
Oversee an efficient expense approval process.
Manage our Bill/Divvy expense platform.
Communication and Coordination:
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely payments and resolve issues.
Communicate payment status and resolve any payment-related queries from stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Proven work experience as an Accounts Payable Manager or similar role.
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification (e.g., CPA) or ongoing education in Accounting or Finance.
Experience with expense management platforms like Bill.com or Divvy.
Experience with QuickBooks
Experience in accounting or AP Function
