Job Summary

The East Territory Manager will oversee Markstein’s service activities in Contra Costa County. This position will be in charge of assigning tasks within the service department. Executes managerial tasks in compliance with the organization's policies and applicable law. Achieve and maintain outstanding performance levels by making efficient use of equipment, facilities, and personnel on an ongoing basis. Make informed decisions during emergency and contingency circumstances. Respond promptly to Company and customer requests in order to provide exceptional service.

Job Duties: (not a comprehensive list)

• Interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
• Assures personal compliance with Markstein Sales Company corporate policies and standards and assures compliance with Anheuser-Busch Equity Agreement requirements.
• Oversees the normal operational procedures for service route assignments.
• Assures service assignments are completed and staff is in attendance. Assigns work to other service personnel when an absence occurs.
• Create weekly work schedules and organize service shifts and personnel for efficient operations.
• Authorizes overtime and completes semi-monthly payroll and approve mileage for service department.
• Record and track arrival, departure, breaks and lunch for workers.
• Arrange for additional workers and equipment during peak delivery periods.
• Survey at a minimum, 15 accounts per month to determine quality control, customer satisfaction, and service processes are being completed.
• Follows state and federal requirements by performing duties personally or through subordinates.
• Participate in goal alignment process. Meet company cost, productivity, customer service and performance objectives of service workers.

• Assure staff is adequately trained by continually educating, working with, and testing individual for knowledge gained.

Additional Management Responsibilities

Responsible for the supervision of 20-30 employees in the service department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Company policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Maintain knowledge of industry trends and developments necessary to perform current and/or future duties.

Requirements:

• Must possess leadership fundamentals in managing people; possess strong interpersonal skills to build strong relationships.
• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or a minimum 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous Management/Supervisory experience preferred.
• Previous Merchandising required.
• Valid California Drivers’ License.
• Proficient in Microsoft office Word and Excel.
• Intermediate Knowledge with Apple products -I-pads, and I-phones.

Total Compensation Pay Range:

$68,000.00 - $72,000.00
