MFT helps the worlds’ largest beverage brands and foodservice operators serve unforgettable meals, snacks, and drinks. We seek an exceptional individual to join our talented, diverse, and passionate Sales Team. The Sales Manager will manage the marketing and sales of food service equipment and other company products across North American market supporting distribution and assigned accounts. The Sales Manager will aggressively pursue sales goals and objectives while supporting team activities to achieve organizational goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs as the territory Business Manager and understands how to make a profit for the company and the customer.
- Manages relationships so that Marmon Foodservice Technologies and Customer’s objectives are met.
- Develops annual business plans and in coordination with the Vice President North American Sales sets individual sales goals and objectives.
- Manages assigned Distributors developing annual business plans and setting sales goals and objectives to meet annual goals
- Manages Direct Accounts as assigned by the Director of Distribution, North American Sales and set sales goals and objectives.
- Schedules and makes personal sales calls with Distributor for Distributor Accounts and with directly with Direct Accounts with the objective of creating profitable long-term and sustaining relationships.
- Seeks out new business opportunities to place Company products.
- Determines specific account equipment requirements; prepares formal presentations and Company product price quotes.
- Develops and presents business reviews with Distributor and Direct Accounts as needed.
- Provides/coordinates sales support and training as required.
- Schedules, coordinates, and participates in territory/regional and national Trade Shows and Conventions as needed.
- Submits sales activity and other reports as needed.
- Submits annual forecasts coordinating Distributor and Direct Accounts into a single territory annual forecast.
- Provides a rolling monthly forecast updates for Distributor and Direct Accounts into a single territory forecast.
- Supports and interacts with Customer Service and Warranty/Technical Services
- Analyzes sales activity against actual sales.
- Must be a resource Manager that can solve problems by rallying the experts and resources available to them.
- Interfaces with engineering and other departments as required.
- Other responsibilities as needed and assigned
Required Qualifications, Skills/Competencies
- Knowledge of the beverage equipment dispensing industry, or foodservice industry, Marmon Foodservice products and competition preferred.
- Must follow commitments by following through.
- Excellent oral, written and communication skills required.
- Knowledge of customer’s business, their strategy, and the environment the customer operates in as well as their consumers.
- Excellent planning, organization, analytical and administrative skills.
- Computer skills: Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications required.
- Must demonstrate Leadership, Creativity, and Initiative
- Possess negotiation skills.
- 50% to 70% travel expectancy with some weekends and late nights
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field preferred or equivalent working experience.
- Minimum (5) years sales or sales management experience, preferably within the beverage and/or foodservice equipment industry.
