Position location is available in California or Hawaii Compensation range: $116,172- $165,960 Position Summary As a member of the professional staff, contributes a high level of specialized knowledge and skill in a discipline (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Resort Operations, Sales & Marketing) area to support department and/or function objectives. Generally, works with considerable independence, developing operating plans and related operational processes for own department in alignment with broader business objectives. Specific Job Summary Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Marketing & Sales Training, this position is an integral part of the team responsible for facilitating and delivering a multitude of training platforms within our Sales & Marketing operation which may be delivered in-person at various locations in addition to virtual delivery. The Director is responsible for knowing, teaching, coaching, and assessing required skill sets to all participants. Director is responsible for facilitating a blended learning approach while also delivering on all Learning Objectives of any given course. This position is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with Regional and Site Sales & Marketing leadership to understand and execute against current trends in the marketplace and communicates regularly with RVP and site leadership relevant to new hire classes, Sales Executive performance, and other site-support training initiatives. The Director works in partnership with the instructional design and development team to maximize the effectiveness of delivery content and to contribute towards the development of new and innovative content across many disciplines. Performs other duties as appropriate. Specific Expected Contributions Leads and facilitates both virtual and face-to-face training courses in partnership with colleagues. . Partners with the VP M&S Training to execute the overall Training and Development strategy within the assigned area of responsibility, and acts as a trusted consultant and subject matter expert business leaders for learning and talent management needs. Partners with in-house Development team of instructional design professionals during analysis, design and development of any given project to help maximize the effectiveness training offerings and curricula. Contributes to the design, development and delivery of existing, new training content including Sales Center Technology Platform. Contributes to continuous program and delivery improvements. Partners with RVP and site sales leaders to support all facets of new hire training and continuing educational training. Coaches and advises M&S leaders (e.g., functional leaders, regional/site leaders) to support the success of M&S training and development programs. Consults with subject matter experts throughout the company where applicable and builds solid cross functional relationships. Able to interact comfortably within all levels of the organization Reviews and analyzes training satisfaction survey results. Identifies trends in feedback and provides follow up for issue resolution and/or appropriate communication to the business. Responsible for scheduling and logistics for all classes or all delivery initiatives partnership with Program Coordinator, when applicable. Deliver Learning objectives to all audiences within Sales and Marketing and provide 1 to 1 coaching where needed. Conduct performance assessments for assigned sales executives. Develop coaching plans and follow through on performance to maintain and monitor retention levels. Candidate Profile Successful candidates should possess knowledge and experience and demonstrate strong leadership and relationship skills as follows: Generally, a professional position with specific knowledge and experience in a discipline (e.g., Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology) as well as associate management experience. College degree and/or relevant experience typically required. Specific Candidate Profile Education Four-year bachelor’s degree or other related field or equivalent work experience. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management desired, or other related field or equivalent work experience is preferred. Experience Minimum of 7 years’ experience with MVW or Industry competitor. Minimum of 3 years functional experience within Vacation Ownership sales with a strong working knowledge of a disciplined sales approach highly preferred. Minimum of five to seven years’ experience as a highly effective trainer / coach / presentation delivery professional in both group and individual settings. Minimum of five years in a management/leadership role, preferably within Timeshare industry. On property resort, timeshare or hotel experience/knowledge preferred. Skills/Attributes Exceptional facilitation skills with the ability to engage an adult audience and present content clearly using examples and analogies in virtual and in-person settings. Strong presentation skills; ability to present articulately and confidently under all circumstances to drive engagement and results. Ability to apply a variety of instructional techniques such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures to real-world situations and debrief activities to arrive at learning outcomes. Ability to apply current industry knowledge to select program delivery options best tailored for mixed groups, using a variety of software programs and technologies. Excellent time management, organizational skills, and multi-tasking skills to manage the learning event and achieve the learning objectives. Proven ability to apply excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to listen actively, question, and respond appropriately to all participant questions and provide feedback. Must be highly effective in group and one on one training / presenting / coaching. Possesses leadership presence and professional demeanor. Demonstrated ability to direct several distinctly different projects simultaneously, involving various operational units, systems, cultures, and balancing teams composed of a wide variety of skill sets. Proven ability to function as a collaborative team player who works with a high degree of independence and credibility.
