What are the responsibilities and job description for the Learning Partner position at Mars?
Job Description:
The Learning Partner will work in partnership with the College Director for the respective functions they support to crystallize skills opportunities using diagnostic techniques such as external research, data analysis, skills benchmarking surveys, workshops & interviews.
When skills gaps have been diagnosed, the Learning Partner will share insights with the College Director for their respective function(s) to align next steps. They will also share insights across Colleges to identify trends/synergies. Insights may also be shared with other teams across the P&O operating model.
When aligned, the Learning Partner will work closely with the functional experts & MGSL through the design, development, and deployment stages of learning solutions delivery.
What are we looking for?
- 4 years of experience advising internal / external customers
- Experience in Talent, P&O, L&D, skills, or other competency-focused role strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service, working closely with senior leadersProven track record leveraging diagnostic methodologies and frameworks
- Experience conducting root cause analysis and problem solving
- Exceptional ability to coordinate and manage multiple client engagements simultaneously with competing priorities and perspectives
- Experience working across geographies and cultures
- Ability to facilitate workshops and co-creation sessions with various stakeholders
- Strong understanding of leading talent practices and strategy elements
- A strong stakeholder focus with action orientation
- Expertise in Associate skill building, learning, development and leadership
- Experience as an HR Business partner or similar role with a strong business focus / acumen and value creation driven approach preferred
- Experience as consultant is a plus
What will be your key responsibilities?
Skills Consulting
- Using quantitative and qualitative diagnosis methods to surface potential skill gaps impacting functional performance and talent pipeline readiness
- Articulate current and ideal performance based on input from business and senior stakeholders, learners, subject matter experts (SMEs), and external experts and thought leaders
- Assess barriers to ideal performance and specify learning needs and appropriate measures/KPIs
- Aggregate and share skills Insights
Learning Solutions Delivery
- Contracts functional/subject matter experts to partner in solutions creation & delivery
- Contracts resources, including budget, required for solution creation & deployment
- Represents business stakeholders during the end to end process of defining, designing, and deploying learning solutions.
Mars U Ecosystem Partnerships
- Build a strong working relationship with the MGS Learning team that develops, deploys, and monitors learning solutions, addressing the defined learning needs
- Champion the learning agenda and the Mars U vision
- Collaborate with other Learning Partners to seek opportunities for efficiencies
- As needed, consult with MGS Learning on execution strategy to ensure integrity of the initiatives
