Marshall Farms is looking to add to our Waste Removal Crew.
This individual would be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and healthy animal environment by removing manure and replenishing the sand base. This is a critical part of raising and maintaining healthy and happy Marshall animals.
The position is a grade N4 with a salary range of $19.51 - $29.27/Hr.
Essential Tasks
Removes manure from animal buildings on a weekly basis and follows a schedule that coincides with the wash schedule.
Schedules and replenishes the sand base in the animal buildings as needed.
Performs daily regular maintenance of their equipment as needed: example greasing, tighten chains, checking fluids...
Works independently and or in a group setting.
Communicates with the Supervisor to address and concerns related to this position.
Safe, Secure Work Environment
Complies with and assists in enforcing all site security requirements.
Requirements
Education, Competency and Leadership Requirements
Education/ Experience: High School Diploma or GED
Competency Requirements:
Individual is capable of effectively and consistently performing essential tasks, Must be capable of understanding and following all safety requirements.
Must be able to operate specialized equipment and does it in a safe and effective fashion. Manure machine, Manure vacuum remover machine, sand machine, floor washer, Payloader, Forklift and other tactor/farm style equipment.
Work Conditions & Special Requirements
Work Conditions:
Conditions are often hot and humid, with frequent animal contact. Duties are performed primarily on 1st shift with varying extended hours including occasional weekend work.
Physical Requirement:
Work is physically demanding with a requirement to lift animals. Job duties may be performed while wearing personal protective equipment. Position requires operation of large, motorized equipment.
Mental Requirement:
Individual is capable of effectively receiving, understanding and applying written and oral instructions.
