Position Summary
This position will organize, coordinate, and monitor the daily activities of all shop mechanics, ensure all equipment repair needs are prioritized and assigned, observe repair activities, watch for potential quality issues and apply necessary corrections. Responsible for helping maintain a safe work environment for all activities in the shop.
This position has the potential for significant overtime throughout the year.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment for all activities in the shop
- Provide overall leadership in the shop locations
- Ensure repairs meet deadlines
- Provide direction, coaching and assistance to shop personnel
- Assist with parts look up and shipping requirements
- Communicate daily with shop manager on shop workload and challenges
- Point of contact for outside repair facilities
- Point of contact for internal customers
- Maintain logs for onsite fuel tanks
- Submit shop time sheet daily
Requirements
- Prior experience supervising others preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changing situations quickly
- Solid organizational skills for planning
- Detail orientation and proven ability to complete assigned tasks
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
Minimum Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 5 years of equipment maintenance required
