Today Media Custom Communications is looking for a New Business Development Executive responsible for acquiring new publishing clients.
TMCC has over twenty-five years of experience creating publications, design and content that engage and energize readers. Industries include Tourism, Education, Healthcare and Business/professional associations.
TMCC is part of Today Media, a family-owned communications company that publishes award-winning city and regional magazines — Westchester, Hudson Valley, Delaware Today, Main Line Today, Bethesda Magazine and The Hunt — with 150,000 monthly circulation. Websites for Today Media publications attract more than 4 million unique visitors/year.
The ideal candidate will have:
Proven new business sales experience.
Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Extraordinary prospecting skills.
Strong negotiating skills.
A proficiency in sales/digital technology, including CRMs.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Excellent community networking skills.
Ability to work independently.
Familiarity with the publishing industry.
Requirements:
Identify and research potential publishing clients.
Develop and maintain client relationships.
Coordinate with sales teams to develop mutually beneficial proposals.
Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate with stakeholders.
Monitor projects to ensure contracts are executed as agreed.
Gather useful information from customer and competitor data.
Make and give presentations to prospective clients.
Track, identify and add qualified prospects to sales pipeline.
Develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow business.
Track and report on the status of proposal components.
Conduct ongoing market research.
