What you'll do

The Marketing Specialist will work Full Time, Days and is central to the successful delivery of Bassett’s marketing campaigns to the public, and for the department’s ability to support and promote the services provided by the network. Working closely with the Marketing Manager and larger Marketing & Communications team, this position will develop, implement, and execute marketing campaigns that are aimed towards various audiences including patients, local health care providers, and potential hires. Projects may range from social media promotion of a PR release to a months-long multi-channel campaigns promoting service lines such as the Cancer Treatment Center, cardiology, primary care or others. All this is done with an eye towards maintaining brand integrity and using effective marketing strategy to achieve organizational goals. This position also provides support to the Public Relations, Internal Communications, and Creative teams with research, copywriting, and project management. The marketing specialist acts as a primary point of contact with other Bassett departments and divisions and also with our media buyers and vendors. The marketing specialist works both independently and collaboratively with the team, owns projects from start to finish ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables achieved, escalates problems or issues when needed, willingly receives and incorporates feedback from others, enjoys trying new things and learning from them, and is an open and collaborative communicator.

  • This position is responsible for executing system- and site-specific marketing/advertising plans and priorities for Bassett Healthcare Network to implement brand strategy and to achieve network goals.
  • The Marketing Specialist, working closely with the Marketing & Corporate Communications team, will develop and execute marketing plans, and implement the strategies established for community engagement and health outcomes through traditional and digital media channels.
  • The Marketing Specialist acts as the first point of contact with internal stakeholders on marketing projects and coordinates with the creative and communications team as necessary to ensure deliverables are understood and outlined and goals are met within budget and on time.
  • This position will also provides content development, oversight, execution and data tracking for Bassett’s social media platforms, the Bassett.org website (including form and landing page development), email marketing, and direct mail efforts.
  • The Marketing Specialist will also develop and maintain a thorough understanding of network & regional programs and services in order to communicate effectively.
  • The Marketing Specialist works collaboratively with the Corporate Communications team and network leaders to identify and prioritize departments and services for organized, timely and effective marketing and communications programs.
  • Responsible for assisting with market research and development of ideas for increased growth of Bassett Healthcare Network.
  • Provides support for special community events such as lectures, screenings and educational programs.
  • Performs similar or related duties as requested.

What we need from you

Education:

  • Bachelor degree in marketing, advertising, business, or related field, preferred. 

Experience:

  • 3 years experience in marketing campaign development and execution, required.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, required.
  • Healthcare experience, preferred. 
  • Project management and productivity experience, preferred. 
  • Content creation and management, especially email marketing and/or social media, preferred. 
  • Client/stakeholder relationship management, preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 lbs of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
