Location: 312 US Hwy 41 S, Ruskin, FL Job Type: Full Time / Regular Non-Exempt
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Store Manager is tasked with providing a positive retail experience to all customers of Mary & Martha House Fashion and Home Goods, and ensuring all employees/volunteers have clear direction with regards to store operations. Must process excellent customer service skills, and able to learn merchandising and cash handling procedures. This position includes monitoring and directing volunteers, as needed, and assisting with creating a healthy work environment. This position must be filled with someone trustworthy, as cash will be handled. Currently the store manager hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday from 8 am - 4:30 pm, and Saturday from 8:30 am - 1:30 pm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Coordinate employee and volunteer staffing, training, and management.
- Daily cash register reconciliation and reporting.
- Inventory management
- Ensure that customers are provided with a positive shopping experience.
- Planning and coordinating store operations
- Applying marketing strategies
- Ensuring the quality of customer service
- Developing the strategic positioning of the store within the local market
- Prepares and co-ordinates advertising and press as needed.
- Works with local groups and organizations to present fashion shows to showcase the agency’s programs and needs.
- Supervise personnel: training, motivation,
- Coordinates, and communicates with other agencies in a positive, effective, and professional manner.
- Maintain time sheets of staff.
- Attend all meetings/training as needed.
- Attend and participate in Mary & Martha House fundraising and marketing off-site events.
- Flexibility required for other duties as assigned or needed.

- Bachelor’s Degree 2years experience working in the retail or customer service field in a supervisory position.
- Or associate degree 3years experience working in the retail or customer service field in a supervisory position.
- Must have proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel or similar.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of and sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic issues including working with homeless individuals in a non-judgmental manner with sensitivity to their unique situation.
- Ability to work independently, and with a team, in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent internal and external customer service skills.
