What are the responsibilities and job description for the Env Svc Coordinator position at Mary Rutan Hospital?
- Job Summary
To assist the department director in maintaining a high quality standard of housekeeping operations by informing the director on the condition of all areas, by training new employees and retraining existing employees, monitoring and supervising the activities of all employees, and by completing inspections in all areas, and helping to provide a motivating environment in which to work. In addition, to work as a relief staff member when other staff members are off.
- Regulatory Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent is required.
- One to three years of supervisory experience is preferred.
- On the job training will also be provided via training videos/films, in-service sessions, and management meetings under the direction of the Environmental Services Director.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Language Skills
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Additional languages preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Skills
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Able to operate electrical and battery powered floor care equipment.
- Able to use dust mop and wet mop for various periods of time.
- Able to clean up unpleasant messes (blood, vomit, urine, etc.)
