Marketing Assistant

What challenges can you expect?

This role will be a critical factor for the smooth operation of the Marketing department and the attainment of its goals. Supporting the marketing manager directly to contribute to existing programs while assisting with development of new initiatives aligned with company and client goals. The marketing assistant must be an organized multitasker, able to handle many diverse projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

Strategic Tasks:

• Process through client data and/or analytics in Salesforce, social media and tradeshow attendance to assist in marketing strategy decisions
• Support marketing manager in organizing various sales enablement projects, tradeshow/events and campaigns
• Assist in the organizing of promotional events and traditional or digital campaigns and to facilitate their success
• Organize, possibly contribute and prepare content files on the company’s internal communication site and social media accounts

Operative Tasks:

• Main point of contact for management team attending the Charlotte office location.
• Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the Charlotte office activities
• Keep track of tradeshow/event deadlines, requirements, shipping instructions and financials.
• Maintain & ensure organization marketing materials in office location – literature, client gifts, tradeshow equipment in connected warehouse
• Update spreadsheets, databases and inventories with statistical, financial and non-financial information including expense reports
• Communicate internally about schedules of marketing events with sales team, executives and encourage trusting relationships
• Review all marketing materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines. This includes checking for grammatical errors, spelling mistakes, and overall clarity.

What do we expect from you?

Requirements:

• Regular business hours in person in Charlotte Office
• Willingness to learn to use forklift in tradeshow equipment warehouse a bonus (lifting 20 lbs)

Education:

• High School diploma; BSc in Marketing, Business or relevant field is a strong advantage

Experience:

• Proven experience as a marketing assistant or preferred advantage – shown knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing
• Good knowledge of market research techniques and databases
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, marketing computer software and online applications
• Preferred: Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) tools Salesforce
• Good understanding of office management and marketing principles
• Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach
• Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
• Effective communication and people skills
