Local favorite Mason Jar Kitchen & Bar in Eagan is now hiring energetic and friendly servers for both lunch and dinner shifts. We are a high volume, locally owned concept featuring a scratch menu with classic American and elevated "comfort" food, craft cocktails, 100% MN Beers and great guest service! We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner with items ranging from eggs benedict, huevos rancheros, and scratch made pizzas to hand-cut steaks, fresh seafood and locally sourced chops. We have two patios in the Summer, Fireplace in the dining room, a Chef's Table in the kitchen along with a lounge area with several TV's and a cozy dining room. We are currently experiencing some exciting changes with plans for growth and expansion...join the team now! We are looking for fun and energetic personalities with experience in high volume restaurants.
This job requires that you work a minimum of 3 shifts per week. Nights and Weekends availability preferred. This job also requires that you be available for some holidays. Requests for time off are handled through a request off system and approval of requests off are determined by management and the needs of the business. Requests off are not guaranteed.
Qualified candidates must be willing to perform their duties with a friendly smile and with the Spirit of Hospitality. Duties include greeting guests with a friendly welcome, handling a section of 4-6 tables (depending on the shift and skill level of the server), using our POS (TOAST) and Table Management System (RESY), running food and drink (and not just your own), clear communication with other staff including the kitchen, following company guest standards, standing on your feet for up to 8 hours, lifting up to 40lbs, handling money transactions correctly, keeping your area clean and sanitized by following safety and sanitation standards.

Additional Requirements:
At least 2 years experience as a server in a full-service restaurant
Must be 18 and have finished High School

- Taking orders
- Delivering food
- Serving alcohol
- Busing, cleaning, and resetting tables
- Answering phone calls
- Prep or side work
- Preparing bill and processing payment
- Cleaning duties such as stocking, sanitizing, sweeping floors, washing dishes
Desired Skill(s):
- Handling cash accurately
- Processing credit cards
- Basic math calculations without a calculator
- Using Point of Sale software
- Using other restaurant software
- Making change accurately
- Using a digital cash register
- Operating a variety of equipment, such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
