Area Manager

Rather than force retailers to adapt to outmoded and inefficient software, MasonHub is uniquely engineered to optimize inventory management and shipping. Our clients include disruptive activewear retailer Carbon38 and luxury size-inclusive ecommerce destination 11 Honoré.

We are looking for a driven and high-performing leader with a passion for process to oversee a team of Warehouse Leads and associates responsible for receiving, storing & shipping all customer belongings. This person will report to our GM.

Job Duties:

• Coordinates daily activities within the fulfillment center
• The area manager is responsible for receiving, putaway, picking, and shipping, ensuring that all workflows run smoothly and that customer expectations are met, if not exceeded.
• He/she drives the training and development of his/her team, while motivating and inspiring excellence.
• The area manager job description also involves exercising sound judgment and ensuring that progress and KPI targets are worked towards and met.
• It also entails leading and developing their own teams of both full-time and temporary associates, having one of the main focuses of motivating, mentoring, and coaching their team.
• Area managers engage their team during a shift to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, and attendance performance.
• Area managers also set performance goals and objectives to help them meet the expectations of customers.
• They are responsible for ensuring security and product loss prevention by ensuring that procedures are strictly adhered to.
• They are also responsible for creating, managing, and supporting recognition and communication programs.
• The area manager is responsible for supporting and promoting all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates.
• Area managers are expected to possess strong team player ability, previous experience as a manager in a distribution center or logistics warehouse, and problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Must have quick thinking skills, ability to act decisively in a fast-paced environment, as well as willingness and ability to work to flexible schedules and shifts.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 to 5 years related warehouse and/or fulfillment center experience in a multi-client environment.
• 1 year of supervisory experience preferred
• Experience with warehouse equipment
• Experience with warehouse management systems
• PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
