General Manager

Overview:

As the General Manager at Gold's Gym in Dacula, GA 30019, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the overall success of the gym. You will be responsible for leading a team, managing daily operations, and providing exceptional customer service to our members. This position requires a dynamic individual with strong leadership skills, a passion for fitness, and a commitment to upholding the Gold's Gym values and culture.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Member Experience:

• Deliver an exceptional gym member experience by fostering a welcoming and motivating environment.
• Oversee member experience within the gym and lead by example through active engagement with members.
• Provide and maintain the highest level of customer service to our members, addressing any customer service issues effectively.
• Ensure our members receive the best fitness experience by proactively walking the gym floor and assisting members when needed.
• Manage member feedback and implement improvements to enhance the member experience.

2. Team Member Experience:

• Deliver an exceptional team member experience by hiring, training, and scheduling all gym-level staff.
• Train and develop Front Desk Team Members and/or Frontline Team Members in all Standard Operating Processes related to member acquisition and onboarding.
• Manage and evaluate the performance of all gym team members.
• Oversee team member bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

3. Gym Management Responsibilities:

• Manage the Profit and Loss (P&L) of the gym to ensure expected profitability.
• Facilitate and monitor company-wide initiatives, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals.
• Maintain the cleanliness and operational integrity of the facility, including equipment inspection and organization.
• Responsible for managing janitorial and office supplies, printing and forms, and small equipment inventory.
• Effectively manage gym operations, including inventory and assets.
• Act as an ambassador for the gym by promoting and monitoring its social media and digital presence.
• Respond to social media inquiries promptly.
• Demonstrate strong business acumen, including understanding the competitive landscape and the local community.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards throughout the gym.
• Conduct gym audits within expected timeframes to ensure member and team member safety.
• Stay informed about job postings for the gym and ensure consistent interview processes to minimize open positions in operations and fitness.

Optional Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a certified personal trainer or group fitness instructor.
• Proficiency in social media management and digital marketing.
• Experience in recruiting and managing fitness influencers to promote the gym's brand and services.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred.
• Previous management experience in a fitness or related industry.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in budgeting, inventory management, payroll, and facilities maintenance.
• Knowledge of fitness equipment and safety protocols.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, to meet business needs.
