HR People Specialist - Human Resources Team
Full-Time, Springfield, MA - Hybrid
*We are hiring for our Springfield, MA office location in a Hybrid setting, where you will be onsite 2 - 3 days per week*
The Opportunity
We are looking for an enthusiastic, organized, and detail-oriented person to join our Human Resources Operations Team. The HR Specialist will be required to manage inbound inquiries and provide service consultation (via phone, email, electronic tickets, etc.) as well as provide in-office support for the HR front desk. You will log and process employee and retiree requests keeping the employee experience at the core of every interaction.
The Team
The HR People Services team focuses on inclusivity; using technology and collaboration to meet the needs of our customer who are MassMutual employees and retirees. The team demonstrates agility and resiliency to manage employee interactions with a sense of urgency, empathy, compliance and confidentiality. The team needs to be flexible and adaptable to an ever-changing environment of transformation. Accountability for driving solutions by leveraging appropriate resources within and outside of the team is crucial.
The Impact
This position will also offer a great opportunity to learn the full-cycle employee experience including but not limited to onboarding, employee record management, off-boarding including retirement. The HR specialist will be comfortable with handling highly confidential information with a keen eye on customer service. The candidate must know how to prioritize work, be a self-starter and offer a willingness to help out in any way possible.
Some responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Providing HR Customer Service and consultation (e.g. leave and benefits administration, Workday navigation, time entry assistance, benefit explanation, payroll questions, etc.)
Benefit Plan Administration including life event changes
Remain current and prepared on employee issues and communication reviews
Daily phone schedule
Rotation of HR front desk staffing
Ability to stay resilient through change as team and processes evolve
Hyper focused on continuous improvement
The Minimum Qualifications
1 years experience as an HR Generalist/Specialist or HR Associate, with hands on experience processing and administering HR payroll, leave and/or benefits such as disability and leave programs including state leaves
Proficient with MS Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Fully completed HS diploma or GED equivalent
Ideal Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Prior hands-on experience with HRIS systems, Workday and ServiceNow
