Responsibilities
In addition, you will:
- Inspect and repair company equipment, such as pickup trucks, line trucks, trailers, mini excavators, backhoes, compressors, and generators, in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
- Perform road tests and operational checks of vehicles and equipment to ensure the quality of repairs and service.
- Place orders for required parts, materials, and supplies, as required.
- Prepare and maintain records and reports.
- Monitor prioritized projects, activities, and assignments to ensure the completion of deadlines.
- Maintain tools, supplies, and workstations in a clean, safe and presentable manner.
- Perform other duties as required and/or assigned
Qualifications
About You:
- Safety is a part of your day to day
- You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality
- You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work
- You are looking for long-term projects
- You enjoy getting your hands dirty with your team
- You have a High School Diploma, or equivalent.
- You have a valid driver’s license.
- You have knowledge of vehicle and equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, and diagnostics.
- Have knowledge of safety guidelines and procedures.
- Have the ability to do tune-ups, brake jobs (hydraulic), and basic wiring.
- You have basic diesel and drive train experience.
- Have the ability to use a cutting torch and basic welding skills.
- You have knowledge of minor heavy equipment repairs.
- You have good verbal communication skills.
- You have precise hand-eye coordination.
- You have clarity of vision at 20 feet or more and 20 inches or less, with the ability to judge distance and space relationships.
