Job Summary
The main role of the Program Manager is to support the external customer base as well as internal staff and design teams regarding projects and their status. In addition, this role also helps to define customer priority and help with escalation as needed to support customer goals. Open and constant communication with all parties is one of the most important functions, ensuring individual project success across all regions. This position may be dedicated to multiple customer product lines at any given time.
Responsibilities
- Management of client needs and concerns through on/offsite meetings.
- Research and development of new projects and feasibility studies.
- Development and maintenance of Job progress reporting for internal and external customers.
- Customer host system proficiency.
- Revenue forecasting.
- Support OPE's and Management as needed as project SME (subject matter expert).
- Communicate and train internal departments on customer procedures and expected deliverables.
- Definition and training of detailed customer defined procedures and change management process.
- Service pricing development and recommendation.
- Balance customer and internal initiatives and priorities.
- Extensive reporting and schedule monitoring of all assigned projects.
- Plan and lead both onsite and offsite meetings with internal and external customers as needed.
- Development of positive customer rapport and communication paths.
Qualifications
Minimum
- 4 or more years of progressive project management experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven strong analytic/problem-solving skills.
- Engineering experience, ability to read and understand maps, drawings, and diagrams for the project build process.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at once.
- Highly organized person and can show planning and processes to support daily work.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
- Advanced Excel Skills proficiency.
- Dependable, flexible to work weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Ability to be on-call, as needed.
- Work independently under minimal supervision.
- Valid US Driver’s license. Clean driving record.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field of study.
- experience in utility conversion or relocation.
- Project Management or Program Manager Professional certifications.
- 8 years of progressive project management experience.
