What are the responsibilities and job description for the Analyst, Market Research position at MasterBrand Cabinets, Inc.?
The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data from various primary and third-party sources: online sources, economic databases, market reports from research companies and analysts, customer and competitor research, industry events, trade shows etc. to inform senior leaders in the business. This position will involve effectively manage multiple projects, gathering thoughtful insights, and effectively communicating conclusions and recommendations.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working cross-functionally with all areas the business to bring an understanding of the data and communicate findings and be a proactive thinker to deliver timely and relevant market, business and consumer data to stakeholders. Responsibilities will also include supporting primary research through developing surveys, interview guides, and questionnaires. Strong project management, problem-solving, analysis and presentation skills are required to be successful in this role.
This position can be remote in the continental United States, preferably in the Central or Eastern time zones, or based out of one of our regional offices.
Organizational Relationship
Reports to: Beth Dibert, Sr Manager, Market Research
Accountabilities
- Track and report on the macroeconomic landscape and industry indicators relevant to MasterBrand and translate trends into business implications
- Monitor, distill and effectively disseminate competitor announcements, digital activities, and other published sources to support business with relevant insights and recommendations
- Handling ad-hoc research in various areas based on objectives; responsible for end-to-end project management, from defining the research requirements to delivering the results
- Collect data through primary and secondary research using interviews with subject matter experts, online resources as well as global industry databases; perform in-depth analyses using quantitative and qualitative methods to generate business insights
- Synthetize information and produce written reports or presentations to internal stakeholders and senior leadership
- Maintain and periodically validate market size and growth trends; develop top-down and bottom-up market models
- Interact with external suppliers on reports queries / data integrity; develop relationships with external market research partners
- Develop ongoing key takeaways of and updates on quarterly reports, discuss and plan analysis, review conclusions and report summaries
- Ability to travel as business needs require. Estimated travel currently anticipated for this position is one to two weeks per quarter.

- Proficient in conducting qualitative and quantitative research, including knowledge of different survey methods, crafting questionnaires and using online survey tools
- Excellent abilities in Microsoft Office, specifically: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proficient knowledge and experience using data and analysis tools (SPSS, SAS)
