What are the responsibilities and job description for the Help Desk Technician position at Masuda Funai?
Masuda Funai is seeking a part-time Help Desk Technician to provide professional and timely customer service/technical support to all Masuda Funai employees including implementing, maintaining and troubleshooting computer hardware and software applications.
Location: 203 N LaSalle Street
Schedule: 8:30 am - 12:30 pm Monday-Friday
Responsibilities
- Respond to hardware, software, telephony, or other IT-related requests from employees in a professional and timely manner; enter and update Help Desk tickets
- Investigate technical issues and hardware failures and determine resolution, or escalate, as appropriate
- Order, deploy and install IT equipment, including laptops, desktops, phones, servers, etc., in alignment with firm standards
- Conduct onboarding and offboarding of employees following the processes established for each department
- Maintain a current and accurate inventory of IT equipment (i.e., servers, workstations, contracts, vendors, printers, IP’s, incident log, software)
- Maintain/update documentation for IT tasks/functions, such as vendor contact list, daily procedures, software upgrades, and installation documentation
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years' Help Desk/technical support experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Windows (10 and 11) and Microsoft 365
- Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure (servers, switches, routers, etc.)
- Knowledge of Client/Server applications
- Superior customer service skills/focus
- Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
- Ability to address rapidly changing priorities, including the ability to multi-task under pressure
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
