Job Summary
This Company is seeking an experienced ElectricalTechnician (Fabrication Welding & NDT) for the MechanicalServices Shops Department (MSSD) in Abqaiq within the Planning andTechnical Services Division.
The role involves providing handsonexperience work direction technical guidance and supervision forwork crews involved in the fabrication welding and repair of plantpressure vessels piping and auxiliary equipment.
The technician mayalso serve as a mentor if required.
MSSD boastsstateoftheart workshops and facilities driven by its most valuableasset : the departments skilled and experienced workforce.
Itsprimary responsibility is maintaining This Companys rotating andstationary equipment. The department plays a vital role within thecompany providing support to all field organizations by maintainingand repairing corporate equipment.
Responsibilities :
- Provides work direction for a crew of 610craftsmen ensuring quality control and productivity. Reviews workrequests to plan assignments and determine material and toolrequirements.
- Requests materials tools andequipment through the SAMS system or Maintenance Planner. Performsadministrative duties as Group Head including report writing andrecordkeeping of welding work.
- Offerstechnical advice to lower craftsmen operations and maintenance forplanning T&Is or large fabrication projects. Ensures adherenceto safe welding procedures and company standards.
- Conducts onthejob training and mentoring for lowerqualified craftsmen maintaining records of trainingaccomplishments.
- Troubleshoots and analyzescomplex projects to determine repair requirements nature of repairand whether repairs will be conducted in the shop orfield.
Requirements :
- This role required candidate topermanently relocate at Dhahran SaudiArabia.
- Associate Degree inElectrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 yearsexperience in fabrication welding and NDT fields as outlined in theposition description.
- Experience serving asthe technical authority concerning all fabrication vesselmaintenance equipment installation and repair and / or testinginspection and welding.
- Responsible fordirecting and controlling the work of 610 WeldersPipefitter / Fabricators and Field Metals Mechanics in projectsinvolving fabrication of pipe spools and structural steelassemblies or repair of plant piping and equipment.
