As an Industrial Mechanic, you will be responsible for rebuilding various types of pumps, including centrifugal pumps, turbine pumps, frame mounts, split-case pumps, fabricated parts, water systems assemblies, electric motors, and more. In addition to pump repair, you will also be responsible for managing and training subordinates (typically 1-3), inventory management and organizing our small warehouse, to ensure efficient operations. Looking for an energetic and skilled technician who is career minded, ready to learn, and leads by example in this working-manager role.
This position carries very versatile duties spanning electro-mechanical, machining, plumbing, mechatronics, computer skills, management skills, and more. The majority of work will be inside the heated service center in Vancouver, WA.
One of our core products are submersible and vertical turbine pump repairs. Assembly and disassembly of these units is technical and physical work.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough diagnostic testing and troubleshooting on pumps to identify issues, including impeller damage, mechanical seal issues, winding damage, bearing issues, and more. Determine appropriate repair or replacement solutions.
- Disassemble and reassemble pumps, replace damaged or faulty components, and rebuild pumps to manufacturer specifications. Use various hand and power tools, as well as precision measuring instruments, to complete repair tasks.
- Provide clear technical instruction to outside machine shops, fabricators, coaters.
- Coordinate and schedule service center repairs with customers and account sales managers. Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with clients.
- Assist field crews with organization, product preparations, speedy departures.
- Manage inventory and ordering of pump parts and equipment needed to complete repairs and maintain warehouse supplies.
- Organize and maintain our small warehouse to ensure optimal efficiency and safety. Some pickups and deliveries. Maintain accurate records of all repairs conducted, parts used, and labor time. Will-call and shipment preparation.
- High school diploma required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial machinery repair, refurbishment, and rebuilding. Similar industries include engine mechanics, agricultural implementation repair or other.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and technical repair skills. Able to use various hand and power tools, as well as precision measuring instruments, laser alignment, machining lathes, including proficiency with measuring (twice).Mathematical proficiency.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Experience (or openness to learning) warehouse management, inventory control, and organizing and managing supplies.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work with minimal supervision. Excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment. Lifting 100lbs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook email or similar programs. Ability to learn software for Work Orders, Purchasing, ect.
- Full-time availability, Monday to Friday, 8:30-5:00 PM.
- Associate’s degree or Trade school certification in mechanical or industrial, or Bachelors.
- CDL – Commercial Drivers License
- Machining and Fabrication.
- Basic CAD drawings.
- Knowledge and experience working with a wide range of industrial pumps.
- Welding and torch experience.
