Mativ is looking for a Senior Demand Planner! This role will work with the sales team to review forecast trends, orders, and portfolio health on a monthly basis and is a key integration point between the customer-facing teams, supply chain, and production planning teams. The position will also be responsible for leading existing initiatives, pioneering a new process, serving as business SME on planning systems, and driving improvement in demand management.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manages and reports on significant variances between sales forecasts, budgets, and actual volume sold
  • Conducts root-cause analysis to identify reasons/assumptions/risks behind forecast numbers and develop mitigation strategies to reduce the impact of short- and long-term forecast variances
  • Reviews historical sales trends, research demand drivers, and integrate market intelligence to prepare forecast data reports for inclusion into S&OP business updates
  • Maintain demand data such as: Master Data, Planning Hierarchies, Cleansed Historical data
  • Lead product life cycle process related to portfolio health such as phasing in/out of new or old products
  • Collaborates with the global sales team, account managers, and planning leaders to incorporate forecasts for new opportunities
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve regional forecast accuracy, bias, and align strategies and processes across the organization
  • Ensure that sales forecasting system and supply chain planning systems are used effectively, and drive initiatives to improve the implementation of these systems within the supply chain organization
  • Closely coordinates and communicates customer issues with customer service advocates and aligns with central & regional supply planning to avoid supply chain disruptions

Education & Experience

Education – B.A. / B.S. degree in Supply Chain Planning or 5 years of work experience. APICS certification is preferred.

Skills & Abilities

  • Sound knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures including manufacturing planning, demand, and replenishment processes. Strong systems/process orientation with demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS office applications.
  • Working knowledge and implementation of demand planning tools
  • Strong facilitation skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to handle complexity and prioritize
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment demonstrating flexibility and agility
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to changing company needs and targets
