Summary
The Network Engineer - Network position reports to the Sr. Network Manager. This individual will work with the infrastructure team leading medium to large-scale projects and providing ownership and driving teams to the resolution of operational incidents. Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and supporting a variety of networking technologies. Providing technical expertise will maintain the infrastructure life cycle and improve operational processes and documentation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform configurations, design, testing, implementation, and documentation on solutions developed including design specifications.
- Provide operational support while leveraging colleagues for L1 and L2 support.
- Ability to extract, analyze and report the data.
- Strong attention to detail when identifying data relationships, trends, and anomalies.
- Thinking through the long-term impacts of key design decisions and handling failure scenarios.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends and evaluate the applicability of new software tools to platform development.
- Commit to overall deliverables with customers and/or management.
- Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years or related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills:
- 3 years of hands-on experience with infrastructure engineering with enterprise network technologies.
- Experience implementing or supporting Meraki and Cisco switches.
- Experience implementing or supporting Meraki Security Appliances and Palo Alto firewalls.
- Experience configuring or supporting the Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange environment.
- Experience implementing or supporting a Meraki and/or VeloCloud SDWAN environment.
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools for Network Infrastructure such as Solarwinds.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Azure Networking
- Experience with vulnerability management for Network Infrastructure.
- Must be self-motivated with the ability to efficiently organize multiple concurrent tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience automating repetitive network tasks.
- Self-directed and driven to produce results.
