What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Analyst position at Maven Clinic?
Maven is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Product Analyst who can help us solve complex problems and drive value for our members as our product offering expands. As a part of the Data Analytics team, you will partner closely with our Product Management and Engineering teams to lead analytics efforts and enable data-informed decision making in all aspects of the product development process. You will have the opportunity to impact product performance and member experience by uncovering trends in member engagement, identifying opportunities for optimization, and contributing to our understanding of how Maven drives health outcomes for women and families.
As a Product Analyst at Maven, you will:
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Product and Engineering teams to build understanding of Maven’s performance and enable data-informed decision making
- Identify areas for product improvement and optimization through in-depth analysis, including exploring new sources of data that can provide insight into Maven usage and value
- Monitor product KPIs and event-based user engagement metrics, flagging and investigating any irregularities
- Contribute to designing and building scalable data structures from both internal and 3rd party data sources (primarily using SQL and Python)
- Communicate insights and results from analysis to stakeholders across Maven teams, highlighting opportunities to better serve our members
- Explore new ways to help our team and our company scale, such as introducing new analytics techniques, making internal tool improvements, or adopting new softwares
We’re looking for you to bring:
- 3 years of relevant analytics or data science experience and a strong background in SQL and data visualization
- A passion for tackling complex problems by exploring and testing different solutions
- A high level of ownership over projects, with a desire to ask questions of our data and determine the best way to answer them
- An ability to juggle both long-term, strategic projects and ad hoc, urgent requests as needed
- Experience in collaborating and communicating with stakeholders and team members of varying technical abilities
Helpful experiences and skills (if you don’t have them, you can learn them with us!):
- Experience with a data visualization software (Looker a plus)
- Hands-on experience with Python or R
- Experience working with event-based data and related tools
- Knowledge of experimentation and/or modeling
- Background in a healthcare-related field
