What are the responsibilities and job description for the UI Engineer position at Mavens Komodo Health?
This role is on the Mavens Komodo Health team; Mavens joined the Komodo Health organization in January 2021 and continues to grow and thrive. This position is 100% remote, candidates may be located anywhere in the United States. Candidates must be US citizens or Green Card holders.
The mission of the UI Developer is to serve as the bridge between Product Management / Design to Product Engineering to help ensure alignment and completeness of vision of delivered product user experiences.
Reporting to the Director of Product Engineering the UI Developer will work closely with design, engineering, product, customers and key stakeholders to define, design, prototype, and build user interfaces that delight our Customers and enable adoption and help drive usage across the Mavens’ product portfolio.
Looking back on your first 12 months at Komodo Health, you will have…
- Collaborated with multiple product teams to implement design artifacts held in Figma and similar tools into finished static resources for incorporation into Mavens’ products
- Designed and developed features & functionality that delight and engage end users in HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, Lightning Web Components and React Components.
- Created reusable and clean UI patterns & frameworks that are unit-testable for simple or complex user tasks.
- Participated in the design process to develop creative concepts in addition to ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs that are compatible with multiple browsers and multiple devices.
- Partnered with other teams across the Engineering organization and closely with Product Management, Program Management, and Technical Leads to weigh in on project priorities, project estimation, and risk identification for roadmap projects.
- Contributed to multiple releases across the Mavens Product Portfolio.
What you bring to Komodo:
- Significant experience with a modern UI framework such as React, Vue or Lightning Web Components
- Experience with modern caching patterns and approaches leveraging Elasticache, Redis, Elasticsearch, or others
- Working knowledge of XHR module such as axios or fetch
- Working knowledge of ES6, ES7, ES8
- Understand and design for non-functional concerns such as performance, cost optimization, maintainability, developer experience, and responsive design.
- Experience with some form of SVG framework - D3/Highcharts/ReactCharts
