Our Opportunity

The Project Accountant performs various accounting tasks to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key duties include:

• Setup new jobs in PM/Accounting Software including SOVs and cost codes/cost classes
• Manage all billing, including communication with project managers, GCs, etc to ensure complete and accurate billing sent out timely each month
• Complete billing support documentation as needed, including lien waivers and certified payroll reports when required
• Apply customer payment to accounts, provide AR aging reports to management, manage collections and follow up on delinquencies as needed
• Manage daily/weekly banking, ensure all bank transactions have been posted to the accounting system
• Perform weekly check runs paying invoices as directed, ensure adequate cash balances, manage cash in and out
• Record inventory transfers between locations. Perform month-end inventory reconciliation, research and resolve any discrepancies
• Oversee and review AP and job cost transactions to ensure accuracy
• Other administrative and accounting tasks/reporting as needed

• 3-5 years experience in construction project coordination
• 1-3 years of experience in general accounting functions
• Strong customer service skills
• Attention to detail
• Advanced MS Office skills
• Solid math and analytical skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills including use of phone, computer, speaking, listening
• Ability to plan, problem solve, reason, prioritize
