What are the responsibilities and job description for the Self Storage Manager position at Maxwell Self Storage?
Our team is looking for an ambitious, team oriented professional to manage our busy self-storage facility in Montgomery, AL.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations at the storage facility, provide great customer service which includes inquiries throughout the entire rental process, and will interact with prospective and existing storage customers, manage payments and bank deposits, use and navigate through property management software, follow up with customers and keep office clean and presentable.
- General property maintenance includes cleaning space(s) as vacated, hallways, and grounds as needed. Makes regular assessment of the condition of the property and resolves maintenance and cleaning issues.
- Work with company vendors who will be frequenting the property (maintenance, repair, property improvements).
- Prepare units for auction as detailed by Alabama law and approved my management.
Requirements:
- Outstanding people and customer service skills
- Strong sales experience or have the mindset and willingness to learn
- Ability to pay close attention to detail
- Highly organized
- General office and telephone skills
- Computer literate
- Effective communicator
- Retail sales or Self Storage experience
- Customer service experience.
- Contact past due customers in a friendly and professional manner.
· License: Current and valid driver's License (Required)
· Transportation: Reliable vehicle (Required)
- Storage experience a plus but not required.
CANDIDATES BEING CONSIDERED WILL BE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT TO A BACKGROUND CHECK AND DRUG SCREENING.
