The Junior Account Manager position is designed to provide developmental support within the MUSA Grocery, Discount, and Specialty business development team. The responsibilities of this role are outlined below. As a supportive role, tasks and duties will be customized to align with the candidate's current stage of career development in sales, ensuring a consistent progression towards the role of Account Manager. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales and Business Development, this position will also offer team assistance to the National Account Manager.
The Junior Account Manager will oversee account management and facilitate the growth of the Tommee Tippee brand across various national and regional channels, including Grocery, Baby Specialty, Value, Discount, Drug, and emerging business channels in the North American market. Responsibilities will encompass managing and expanding existing as well as new distribution channels in North America, with a focus on enhancing both value and equity for the Tommee Tippee brand.
Working closely with and overseeing regional broker support staff, the Junior Account Manager will ensure effective representation and growth of the Tommee Tippee brand. Additionally, the role entails analyzing syndicated data, POS data, global shopper insights, purchasing and trend data, and leveraging fact-based product and consumer information to develop forecasts, compelling promotional narratives, insights, and updates for customers.
What you will be doing:
- Co-Develop, execute and manage the North American sales plan with existing accounts, and future accounts.
- Co-Ownership of customer/account operations including management of multiple brokers.
- Lead negotiation on account specific trading terms, promotions and other activity in line with the brand strategies for North America.
- Increase listings, distribution and visibility of the Mayborn portfolio.
- Complete customer Joint Business Plans which deliver incremental account profit and overall delivery of EBITDA targets/qrty reporting.
- Collaborate with internal global brands teams to partner with retailers to gain broader reach and drive awareness of the Tommee Tippee brand.
- Improve account and category cash and profit – developing P&L management & reporting skillset.
- Learn to deliver a balanced pricing approach throughout customer base to deliver a sustainable pricing and margin plan.
- Manage quarterly account presentations and related personnel to execute them, that include state of the business, future planning and NPD presentation.
- Provide trackers, monthly board reports/ quarterly reports and solutions and contingency planning for remedial action as appropriate.
- Partner with Digital Marketing, ensure / co-ordinate market leading Tommee Tippee content for deployment including digital shelf, merchandising investments, and social commerce execution to drive strong returns / share gains within retailer e-commerce channels.
- Co-delivery of forecasts, orders, and payment requirements and work with logistics and planning team to build adequate inventory within plans.
- Management, analysis and control of Sales spending with support from MUSA commercial team.
- Deliver consistent marketing message through key retailers.
- Communicate the Tommee Tippee brand position and objectives utilizing key retailer platforms.
- Management of excellent execution of all NPD and promotions.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships across Trade Marketing, Demand Planning, Finance, Category Management and Supply Chain.
- Manage expenses and travel costs within company policy guidelines in successful performance of the role.
What skills and experiences you’ll need to ace this job:
- Minimum 2 years experience with the consumer goods industry with desire to progress and grow. (At least one analyst or support role in Sales, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, Marketing, or Category Management.)
- Ability to co-deliver joint business plans that result in sales growth.
- Forecasting and multi-year planning abilities.
- Understanding of company's direction and follow through with customer base.
- Management skills including the ability to manage cross-functional groups (internal and external).

- POS and Syndicated data experience.
- Experience in leading others including direct account management.
- Experience of developing trade/consumer marketing strategies and programmes.
- Understanding and support for GTM and 4P analysis plans.
- Ability to understand and interpret syndicated data into customer presentations.
- Excellent, proven effectiveness at stakeholder management/ collaboration(e.g. resilience, team player).
- Ability to challenge back, not afraid to punch above and speak up.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and constantly moving priorities.
- Strong sense of urgency and prioritization skills, this is critical.
