We are one of the few facilities in the area that can provide care to those individuals with both coexisting psychiatric and medical conditions. We are uniquely trained to provide care to seniors who have exhausted their psychiatric days. The HIM Coder is responsible for carrying out the activities of the Health Information Services Department in the area of coding, applies the appropriate diagnostic and procedure codes to individual patient health information for data retrieval and analysis and claims processing. Provides departmental coverage in H.I.M. Directors absent.

Education: High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of successful completion of a coding certificate program thorugh AHIMA or AAPC.
