What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laboratory Analyst I position at Mazars?
- Understands and follows all written procedures that apply to the function of the position
- Understands and follows all procedures and processes required for work performed under Regulatory Compliance (i.e. GxP, FDA/GLP and GCP, OECD, CLIA, etc.) and attends annual GLP training
- Prepares chemical solutions for use in processing and testing samples following standardized formulas or standard operating procedures
- Tests and analyzes samples for CLIA, GxP, or Research
- Provides cross-functional support to other departments as required
- Documents results of test samples that include calculating the data and repeating analysis; documentation must be compliant with good documentation practices and any deviations immediately reported
- Reads and reviews all new SOP’s and maintains SOP Training file and employee training file up to date
- Checks inventory database, upon being scheduled for a test method, for reagents required for that method; maintains a current inventory of all analytical reagents by complying with department procedures for reagent use and reorder
- Performs qualification and re-qualification of reagents, as necessary
- Helps maintain assigned laboratory equipment
- Ensures laboratory trash/expired reagents are disposed of properly
- Works in a laboratory setting meeting the physical requirements of laboratory experiments.

- Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
- Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Owns the accountability and responsibility of delivering to client needs and timeliness
- Adjusts work hours as needed to meet client deadlines
- Adheres to site environmental health and safety (EHS) requirements
Qualifications
The Ideal Candidate would possess:
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as test methods, safety rules, standard operating procedures, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing to coworkers, supervisors, and clients
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as averages, dilutions, volumes, molarity, and normality.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited information is available.
- Ability to work in a laboratory setting meeting the physical requirements of laboratory experiments.
- A positive attitude
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 0 to 1 years of experience
- Associate’s Degree with greater than 1 years of experience
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Successful completion of the company’s safety program required prior to working in the lab
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
