APRN - Nurse Practitioner - Either Full-time or Part-time Job Opportunity - (FLEXIBLE HOURS) Hourly Rate Negotiable
MCCA, Inc. seeks an APRN to work in Danbury location Inpatient setting.
The APRN (Advanced Practice Nurse) will perform comprehensive problem-focused history, and physical exams. Synthesize data from multiple sources to assist in making a diagnosis. Interpret and correlate subjective and objective data when formulating a working diagnosis. Formulate a treatment plan. Implement therapeutic intervention for clients admitted to the program. Exercise judgment on problems requiring consultation, further evaluation and work in close collaboration with the Medical Director.
Major Responsibilities:
The APRN practices as a member of the multi-disciplinary team and consults with members of other health professions as appropriate in order to ensure client health care needs are met. Initiate and manage client care within his/her scope of practice.
Perform Initial Mental Status Exam (MSE); and comprehensive history and physical examinations as required. Order, receive and review laboratory reports and relevant lab tests/procedures in order to diagnose or manage patient condition.
Comply with all federal, state and funding regulatory requirements. Preserve client confidentiality pursuant to Federal, State and HIPAA regulations. Maintain and review electronic client medical records. Charting on electronic medical record system prior to leaving the building for each shift is required.
Accurate and timely coordination/completion of assignments as directed by the Chief Medical Officer. Occasional handling of outpatient services clients. Other duties as assigned by Medical Director or Management.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education, Training & Credentials:
- MSN degree from an accredited college
- Current State of Connecticut RN, APRN and DEA license needed
- Familiarity with the medical complications in treating substance abuse, co-occurring and mentally ill clients and handling electronic medical records.
