Job Description
McDonald’s is seeking a Manager of Cybersecurity Awareness to support our growing Information Risk Management team as we protect McDonald’s. You will collaborate closely with cyber experts, Global Technology teams, and business leaders to manage interactive and engaging learning experiences for our people. McDonald’s is a people business, and you will help to secure the golden arches by promoting a culture of security across the McDonald’s system.

Qualifications
Global Cyber Security (GCS) is the team that is ultimately responsible for the securing of McDonald’s information assets at a global level. Cyber training and awareness is a critical capability of our team. This role will be responsible for the delivery of a variety of engaging learning experiences that inspire, influence, and ultimately motivate the online behaviors of our people. The training and awareness capabilities created by this role will pave the way for raising awareness, influencing behaviors, and creating a culture of cybersecurity across the organization. Education is the most powerful tool to fight cybercrime, and with a trained workforce as a differentiator, McDonald’s can capitalize on growth and revenue opportunities that others leave on the table as they address their security challenges too late.
The Manager of Cybersecurity Awareness will partner with various business and market stakeholder to create cyber deliverables that have the power to change human behaviors. This includes delivering engaging educational experiences, organizing large-scale learning events, and transforming cyber content into compelling and cohesive narratives that motivate human behavior.
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements training and awareness campaigns for security & privacy tools, policies & procedures in a rapidly growing environment with cyber threats that are continuously evolving.
- Lead the delivery of the annual cyber training and awareness curriculum to be delivered to all people annual and upon onboarding.
- Manage the global phishing simulation program across the enterprise as well as the delivery of targeted phishing simulation programs to targeted corporate business units and markets.
- Promotes a highly collaborative approach when working with teams to deliver effective training and awareness.
- Translates complex security requirements into adoptable concepts that staff can easily and quickly absorb.
- Manages and maintains training and awareness documentation (procedures, quick reference guides, training content, storyboards, communications, etc)
- Understands and stays current on best practices and guidance to achieving a security and privacy aware workforce.
- Marketing and promotion of cybersecurity events, ideas, and best practices
- Lead the delivery of the annual McDonald’s International Cybersecurity Summit event which brings together 300 people from across the globe
- Identifies, tracks and produces key program metrics, reports and dashboards to measure the effectiveness of the phishing, training and awareness program.
- Establishing relationships with key stakeholder to align training requirements.
- Develop reoccurring cybersecurity awareness communications to educate our vendors and suppliers on new/emerging threats that may impact their operations.
Minimum Requirements
- Applicable bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience with cybersecurity, marketing, communications, organization behavior, instructional design, or other related fields.
- Experience designing and developing highly engaging and effective e-learning and instructor-led training (ILT)
- The ability to partner to understand the needs of those the training and awareness team supports; Understanding these needs in such a way to match the right solution to the right need
- Experience in Instructional Design, training creation, preparation, and facilitation
- Experience in event planning and coordination
- Ability to translate messaging between technical teams and business partners
- Excellent written & verbal communication
- Leadership experience with proven track record of success and growth.
- Prior experience within Risk Management and IT Security governance a plus.

Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with complex multinational companies and distributed business models.
- Strong ability to develop and communicate strategic direction and long-term objectives without supervision.
- Eagerness to build relationships with stakeholders and those who support them.
- Experience working with security awareness and training platforms.
- Experience in instructional design and building training content
- Experience defining and deploying employee learning programs learning management systems.
- Proficient in technical writing and demonstrating various creative mechanisms to communicate to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrable ability to quickly identify project objectives and define optimal project approach to align security controls with overall program success.
- Relevant professional certifications a plus. (PROSCI, tc)
