A Restaurant Team Leader provides leadership to crew, Crew Trainers and other Restaurant Team Leaders during a shift to ensure great Quality, Service, and Cleanliness to customers under the direction of General Manager and Assistant General Manager. Shift Leaders perform a variety of tasks, which may include Planning for each shift. A team Leader also frequently work directly with customers and crew members on your day-to-day activities. This means that strong people skills and the ability to multitask are key in this position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
· Responsible for ensuring smooth operations with leading teams through a shift or daypart, guiding team members to work effectively and efficiently from end-to-end (pre-shift planning, shift leadership, post-shift review excellence); leads team members through successful execution with shift management practices and procedures to support our operational excellence standards (e.g., travel path)
- Understands and communicates with clarity targets and goals; assists team members with understanding what actions to take and how to do to them
- Checking food holding temperatures to ensure food safety compliance.
- Ensuring that all crew members are aware of new promotions.
- Supports Inventory Management, Daily & weekly maintenance, labor cost, etc.
- Taking action to ensure the team is meeting McDonald’s standards
- Communicating with the next Shift Manager to help prepare him/her to run a great shift, too.
- Monitors progress against targets and goals across multiple stations to identify or anticipate bottlenecks, and/or quality or service concerns; takes action to address the situation and seeks feedback from General Manager or Assistant General Manager as needed.
