What are the responsibilities and job description for the Training Coordinator position at McDonald's?
Local McDonald's franchisee is actively looking for a Training and Development Manager to enhance the competencies of individual employees by utilizing already in place/developing training programs that will boost employees workplace performance in alliance with company’s core values. This will be performed at 3 different restaurants located in Reidsville, Yanceyville, and Roxboro, so reliable transportation is a must.
This is an entry level job and we will train the right person as long as you are willing to learn. Because this is a training position, following all policies and procedures is non-negotiable as this position is to be the role model for the other employees, so if you are a lover of rules and policies, this is the job for you! Responsibilities
- Identify training needs by evaluating strengths and weaknesses
- Translate requirements into trainings that will groom employees for the next step of their career path
- Build annual training program and prepare teaching plans
- Develop or oversee the production of classroom handouts, instructional materials, aids and manuals
- Direct structured learning experiences and monitor their quality results
- Acclimate all new hires to the business and conduct orientation sessions
- Explain company benefits and help employees sign up
- Deliver training courses
- Monitor/create job postings and assist in hiring/recruiting
- Assess training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques into employees work behavior
- Periodically evaluate ongoing programs to ensure that they reflect any changes
- Stay abreast of the new trends and tools in employee development
- Ensure crew trainers and managers are up to date on all certifications
Skills/Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel anywhere from 100-300 miles weekly in between stores and the office (Mileage reimbursement will be discussed during the interview)
- Must be available to work between the hours of 8am-8pm, Monday-Friday and possible weekend
- Be proficient with laptops/computers
- Be willing to become a ServSafe certified proctor and instructor
- Be able to speak clearly and professionally
- Excellent typing/writing skills
- Be willing to learn all policies and procedures of the franchise and corporation
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Previous McDonald's experience as crew trainer and above is preferred, but not required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
