Job Description
The Restaurant Development Legal Team is a dynamic, experienced team of lawyers and other real estate legal professionals who support the design, development and modernization of McDonald’s restaurants across the U.S., and has an immediate opening for a Legal Assistant to join the team. Legal Assistants on the Restaurant Development Team are expected to:
- Support team members to process invoices, manage mail deliveries and electronic correspondence, organize and manage paper and electronic records, coordinate travel, and independently handle other routine requests and inquiries
- Be process-oriented and think strategically to develop new practices and lead change efforts to streamline and modernize existing processes
- Be intellectually curious and adaptable to change, including adopting new technologies to drive efficiency
- Have excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills and be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize higher value work, and handle deadline pressures and sensitive information
- Have a basic understanding of and ability to identify various real estate documents
- Work well individually and also as part of a team, and demonstrate reliability, strong work-ethic, collaboration, and cooperation with colleagues
- Think strategically and be an active contributor to efforts to achieve team goals and objectives
Qualifications
Must be fully vaccinated (i.e., at least 2 weeks after last dose) for COVID-19 and, if hired, present proof of vaccination by start date.
High School or equivalent experience required (college degree preferred)
Minimum of 1 – 3 years prior administrative and/or project management experience required (real estate experience preferred)
Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office technologies, including Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams, and strong ability to quickly adopt and utilize other document management, matter management, and real estate database technologies
